The Founder

Maria Philippou began her career in radio in 1989. She then secured her much loved position at London based PR company Sharp End Promotions in 1993 where she worked as part of a successful TV, Radio & Press team organising campaigns for some great acts including Dannii Minogue, 2 Unlimited, Sybil, Sonia, Worlds Apart and Rozalla. In 1994, she moved to Manchester where she was offered a position working for Pete Waterman’s PWL Studios managing his studio and remix team Loveland. With this experience under her belt, Maria moved back down to London in 1995, where she was asked by Sharp End Promotions to set up their Regional division of Head of Regional PR working with artists such as Ant & Dec, Cat Deeley assisting with the regional campaigns of SMTV:LIVE, The Woolpackers and John Alford (for Simon Cowell), as well as Jennifer Paige, Cliff Richard, 911, Randy Crawford, Chris De Burgh, Leo Sayer, Errol Brown and Andrea Bocelli.

In August 2000, Maria set up M P Promotions.
